Boston, MA – CrunchTime! Information Systems, a global leader in cost control solutions for the hospitality industries, recently conducted its annual Rowathon fundraiser for Children’s Hospital of Boston; donations exceeded $12,000.
“Children’s Hospital is a terrific organization, and we’re proud to be able to support them- as we have for many years.” said Bill Bellissimo, President of CrunchTime! Information Systems. “While the Rowathon is the most visible way we contribute to their mission, many CrunchTimers also donate blood and platelets. We’re all glad to do it- Children’s is just a special place.”
The funds will benefit the blood donor center at the hospital, a critical resource in their treatment of childhood diseases.
About the Rowathon To raise funds, CrunchTime! employees gather pledges based on the number of meters rowed during a set time on the CrunchTime! rowing machine. The machine is a virtual institution at the company (and is both feared and revered). The 2011 Rowathon had 33 rowers, and was organized by Adam Buggia, Director of Enterprise Architecture at CrunchTime! CrunchTime! has a facebook page dedicated to the Rowathon, visible here.
